Christmas Time... Already?

It is hard to believe, but the Christmas season will soon be upon us.
As soon as the ghosts and pumpkins clear out of the stores, they will be replaced by glitter, twinkles, and bows.
Holiday shopping will begin to make you crazy.
Your to-do list will become even longer than it already is.
So there's no time like the present (no pun intended) to start thinking about your Christmas Cards for this year!

Flaire Weddings and Events has partnered with Birchcraft Studios to bring you fabulous holiday cards at fantastic prices!

So in the spirit of giving, I just wanted to let you know about a special that Birchcraft is currently running... anyone who places a Christmas card order by October 15 will receieve complimentary envelope imprinting! This is that extra touch that lets your family, friends and/or clients know they're receiving something special in the mail.

Here is just a sampling of the hundreds of cards offered.

Danielle is one of my fabulous brides and also an event assistant with Flaire Weddings and Events.

We were both thrilled that the amazing Scarlett Lillian was available for her wedding date, and I'm so excited about the pictures that will be coming from this wedding!

For now, Scarlett has released a "teaser" from Danielle and Jay's engagement session last week, shot down in South Florida, and here it is.

I can't wait to see the rest!!

Real Wedding: Molly and Scott

Molly and Scott are one of our beach wedding couples, and they had a beautiful ceremony in the sand at Anastasia State Park.

That day, the weather had been gorgeous all day long, right up until about 30 minutes before the ceremony, when dark storm clouds rolled in.

It rained a bit, but Molly and Scott were very flexible so we held off starting the ceremony in hopes the rain would clear out. Sure enough, it did, and the sun came out for a bit to shine on this beautiful couple.

All florals and event decor by Flaire Weddings and Events.

I loved Molly's bright orange -- so fresh and vibrant!

Here you can really see the storm clouds off in the distance, but just overhead the sun was beginning to peek out!

Molly and Scott, thanks for letting us create the wedding of your dreams!

Real Wedding: Sonja and Matt

Sonja is one of our adorable August brides who came to me three weeks before her wedding needing some coordination help. She had all the vendors in place, but needed a bit of assistance pulling all the details together. We were pleased to come to the rescue!

Her ceremony took place at the San Marco Preservation Hall, which made a perfect backdrop for photos.

Flowers were created by A Secondhand Rose, and photos were taken by Kristin Gattis. Kristin did a wonderful job, and thanks so much to her and Sonja for sharing them with us!

Sonja and Matt, you two are adorable and obviously so much in love. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!

Here's a shot of me in action!

I love their happy expressions as they come back down the aisle!

This is such a cute bridal party shot.

Sonja's color scheme of hot pink and orange was so fun!

This is one of my favorite photos from the wedding. I just love it with the church in the background!

ABC State Meeting

This weekend I am enjoying networking and educational sessions at the 2008 Florida State Meeting for the Association of Bridal Consultants. The meeting is being held in St. Petersburg, FL, and while a friend and I had to battle Fay on the roads yesterday to get here, I must say it is nice to see some blue skies after our week of tropical weather.

Topics covered today included "Overcoming Tentaphobia","Branding Professionalism", and "Contracts for Non-lawyers."

The "tentaphobia" session was one of my favorites. While I don't personally feel that I suffer from "tentaphobia", as I absolutely LOVE tented events, I did however learn some things I didn't know about specific pricing issues. Did you know it can cost anywhere from $3,000 to $8,000 just to air-condition a tent? Just something to think about when planning that outdoor wedding!

This evening we had a cute cocktail reception out by the hotel pool (colors were hot pink and green, so of course I loved it!) and I received an "award" for being one of our Northeast Florida Local Networking Group Co-Directors (that's a mouthful, isn't it?)

More fun sessions are coming tomorrow, and we get started waaaay too early, so it's off to bed, but hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures tomorrow!

Real Wedding: Jen and Mike

Jen came to me about two months ago with a unique situation. She's a pilot in the Navy, planning a wedding, and about to go on a work-up for three weeks. Problem: She and her fiance Mike wanted to get married in August, but hadn't pinned down any of the details yet. Yikes!

Fortunately, everything came together beautifully. After I helped Jen scout out quite a few locations, from Amelia Island all the way down to St. Augustine, she finally decided on the newly opened White Room Loft.

Jen and Mike had a beautiful ceremony in the Lightner Courtyard, and continuted the celebration up in the loft.

Flowers were by Flowers by Shirley, and Cake was created by Defore's Cake Design.

Thanks so much to Nate Deremer of Deremer Studios for capturing it all!
