Looking to save money on your wedding gown?? Try Toilet Paper!

Every year, Cheap-chic-weddings.com sponsors a wedding dress-making competition. There is one key stipulation, though. All entries must be made out of toilet paper!!

I know I've played the toilet paper dress game at various get-togethers, bridal showers, etc. but these dresses are truly phenomenal!!

Check out the winning top three dresses!

Katrina Chalifoux took home top honors with this stunning creation, shown at the competition and modeled by her niece.

Terri Glover captured second place for her creation.

The third-place dress was made by Ann Kagawa Lee

Congrats Ladies! Great work! Although -- I don't know if I can recommend any of these dresses for my outdoor wedding Florida brides! The chance of rain is just too risky! =)

Introducing New Pockets Invitations from Birchcraft!

Pocket-style invitations have been all the rage for the last year or so. And now, my favorite stationery company, Birchcraft Studios, is getting in on the fun with their own line of Pocket invitations that just debuted.

The best thing about these pocket-style invites from Birchcraft is their affordability! I offer all brides a 20% discount on any Birchcraft invitation product, and with that discount, you can purchase a Pockets ensemble (invite, pocket, response card, and envelope) for about $2.70 per ensemble. If you've looked into Pockets pricing at all, you know what a deal that is!

Happy Wedding Day, Tracy and Chris! 5.31.08

Tracy and Chris were such a fun couple to work with. For one, they held their reception at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! Anytime a couple is willing to think outside of the box in the planning process, I know it's going to be a fun wedding!

Tracy did a fabulous job of incorporating a "wild" theme throughout the wedding. Pots of lush, green ivy lined the pews for the ceremony. At the reception, guests were greeted by green leaf place cards, directing them to their table named after an animal. Names like "Monkey" and "Turtle" allowed the guests to have some great conversation, wondering if there was some correspondance between their table name and their personality. =)

The wild theme continued with a fabulous cake by Love at First Bite Cakery, and a special groom's cake inspired by The Hulk!

Scarlett Lillian did a fabulous job with the photos, as usual, and thanks so much to her for sharing them with us! Enjoy!

My 3rd Wedding Anniversary!

Well, as of today, my wonderful husband John and I have been married for three years!
It's definitely neat to look back at the last three years and see how much my life has changed.
For one, I am now the proud owner of a successful small business, Flaire Weddings and Events!
I had been considering starting a wedding business for sometime before we actually opened up "shop" so to speak, but then my own engagement and wedding took a bit of my focus. Just a bit. =) The summer following my wedding I jumped back into my business start-up full force, officially launched the company in September of 2005, and here we are today!

I also am the proud mommy of one adorable little 15-month-old, our precious Ian Wade!

Since I got married three years ago today, I've been remembering my own wedding, and thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics with you all!

We've truly enjoyed our first three years of marriage, and are looking forward to many more years to come!
